Marketing Specialist

Must have an understanding of digital advertising, marketing and sales. College graduates who majored in Communications or Business are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales and service to new local business accounts.
  • Responsible for the orderly flow of information from and to advertisers, agencies, and stations.
  • Responsible for obtaining the largest percentage of buys possible.
  • Responsible for making presentations to advertisers and agencies including preparation of station and market research (Nielsen quantitative and qualitative data, FUTURI TopLine, use of Laptop computer, PowerPoint, creating graphs and one-sheets, vendor presentations, digital services, other services and marketing tools as may become available).
  • This position has the requirement of bringing in new local direct (which means no advertising agency is involved) as well as agency accounts to the station.
  • Complete timely paperwork affecting accounts such as orders, avails and client correspondence and communicate daily with traffic, production, and sales management in order to expedite client needs.
  • Participate in station training (P1 Learning, LBS Training and RAB) and follow through with research and independent studies in order to assimilate the information.
  • Keep current with the market through monitoring and study of competitive media. Report to management on market and account status with reports as required.
  • Generate revenue to meet the stations and Marketing Specialist’s budgetary requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field preferred.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and manner.
  • Must be able to market and sell digital marketing and broadcast radio solutions to businesses.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; strong public speaking skills.
  • Able to direct/contain all elements of negotiation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Digital Operations Specialist Job Description

The Digital Operations Specialist (DOS) is responsible for managing the delivery of digital assets and advertising campaigns – on time and on budget – in coordination with a team of designers, developers and vendors. The DOS will work closely with the Digital Sales Managers at each station to ensure that all campaigns run as ordered. This candidate must demonstrate multi-tasking ability and keep multiple projects on-track simultaneously.  Ultimately, this person is responsible for the smooth operation of the tasks required post sale via effective implementation, streamlined process and resource management. This position offers opportunities for growth and development, making it suitable for entry-level applicants. We are open to candidates who may not have extensive experience but demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and a passion for Digital Operations. Our team is ready to provide the necessary training to help you succeed in this role.

 Principle Duties:

  • Work closely with third party vendors to secure avails, place orders, execute campaigns
  • Execute all digital insertion orders for DSM & Sales
  • Set up all digital marketing campaigns
  • Assist DSM & accounting department with digital billing management
  • Compile and disseminate client campaign performance reports
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize digital advertising campaigns
  • Input advertising campaigns into billing and trafficking systems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to campaigns
  • Update the ‘Work In Progress’ (WIP) report weekly
  • Provide recommendations for campaign enhancements
  • Work closely with internal staff and external partners to ensure that appropriate materials are received and/or distributed correctly

Qualifications:

To be considered, it is preferred the candidate have 2+ years operations experience in the area of online marketing, but not required. An ideal candidate will have:

  • Google Analytics, AdWords, or Facebook Blueprint Certified
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications or related field

Additional requirements include:

  • Expertise managing digital marketing campaigns (social ads, PPC, etc)
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
  • Demonstrate active listening skills and ability to apply learning over time
  • Recognize recurrent or potential issues and problems, and know when to escalate and propose solutions, where possible
  • Take clear ownership of assigned tasks
  • Ability to organize and prioritize while juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be detail oriented, enjoy organization and possess the ability to pivot to different focus areas throughout the day
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • Professional and positive manners when working with team and clients
  • Legally able to work within the US without sponsorship
  • Flexible hours to work with east and west coast clients
  • Remote work—reside anywhere within the US
