OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
”March Makeover- Windows Doors & More”
How to Enter the Contest:
The contest will begin on February 15, 2020 and end on March 18, 2020. Contestants may enter the contest beginning on February 15, 2020 at 5:30am until March 17, 2020 at 4:00 pm. All entries must be received by WLDE on or before March 17, 2020 at 4:00 pm. To participate in the contest, contestants may enter by stopping by Windows Doors & More Showroom, 1121 W. Washington Center Road, February 15, 2020 through March 17, 2020 or on-site at the Windows Door & More booth at the Fort Wayne Home & Garden show at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on February 27, 2020 through March 1, 2020. Contestants must complete an entry form providing their first and last name, residential address, city, state and zip, and telephone number. The entry form that is available in the Windows Doors and More advertisement in Fort Wayne Newspapers, is also an acceptable entry form in this contest. It must be dropped off at the Windows Doors and More Showroom, during normal business hours and by 4pm, March 17, 2020 to be eligible in the contest.
No purchase necessary.
How to Play:
Listen to WLDE or WAJI each weekday between February 15, 2020 and March 18, 2020 between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. WLDE will select a name at random from all eligible entries and announce a contestant’s name on the air. WLDE and WAJI reserve the right to determine the frequency and times the contest will be played each weekday. Each contestant whose name is announced on air will have ten (10) minutes from the time of the first announcement of their name to call the (260) 426-5343 or (260) 467-9500 to win a qualifying prize and become a finalist for the Grand prize. The person whose name is announced must be the one who personally calls within the allotted time. No one else may call for that person.
If the person whose name is announced does not call within ten (10) minutes, he or she will not qualify as a finalist to win the Grand Prize or win the qualifying prize. In the event that two individuals with the same name call, only that individual who can be verified by the home address, which matches the information identically on the randomly drawn entry form, shall be declared the finalist.
Eligibility Restrictions:
You must be 18 years of age or older with a valid photo I.D. or other identification issued by the U. S. government or an educational institution. To enter and be eligible to win, you must live in the Fort Wayne metropolitan area, consisting of Adams, Allen, Dekalb, Huntington, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley Counties in Indiana, along with Paulding and Van Wert counties in Ohio.
You must be a homeowner, with a house on a permanent foundation, not a renter, to be a winner. The house cannot be a trailer, mobile home or modular home.
Homes must meet requirements set by all manufacturers for installation of their products. Failure to meet these requirements will require additional costs which must be paid by the winner.
Employees of Sarkes Tarzian Inc., Windows Doors & More, including current and former employees of independent contractors or spokespersons, as well as employees of radio stations in the Fort Wayne Metro, and members of their respective families are not eligible. Family is defined as parents, in-laws, children, spouses, people in spouse-like relationships and siblings, including those in step and half relations. Anyone who has been employed by or interned with Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., is also ineligible.
Persons who have won prizes of cash or merchandise totaling $600 or more from WLDE since September 18, 2018 are ineligible for this contest.
You may win only once during this contest.
One entry per person.
Only one finalist per household is permitted.
Prizes:
One Grand Prize: $25,000 in home improvements from Windows Doors and More. The $25,000 must cover design service, permits, installation, materials and labor.
The Grand prize excludes all hard surface countertops at Windows, Doors & More, including but not limited to granite, marble, soapstone and quartz.
The winner of the Grand prize must claim the prize at WLDE within 2 weeks of winning by signing the Station’s Receipt for the construction of the Plan Winners must make their decision of home improvements within 1 month of the date on the Station’s Receipt. Their decisions have to be a workable plan in the sole opinion of WDM. (“The Plan”). If the winner cannot arrive at a Plan then WDM will award the winner the Cash Option (see description below). The winner must make all necessary arrangements with Windows Doors and More for the construction of the Plan within a period of one year from the date of the receipt.
If the winner cannot come to an agreement on the Plan with Windows, Doors and More within 30 days of signing the Receipt, they may opt out of the Grand Prize and take a $5000 cash prize instead, thereby, forfeiting all of the home improvement options.
If the Grand Prize Winner cannot take possession of the Grand Prize due to force majeure, major difficulties in construction, or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of Winner or WDM as determined by Window, Doors and More and WLDE in their sole discretion, Grand Prize Winner shall receive the Cash Option prize.
Only the winner(s) may claim the prize.
The Qualifying Prize – TBD.
Contest prizes are not transferable.
Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. Winner can only accept Cash Option as alternative to the Grand Prize.
WLDE reserves the right to change qualifying prizes with one of equal or greater value at anytime during the contest.
Prize(s) provided in exchange for promotional consideration.
Selection of Winner:
The Grand prize will be awarded at approximately 8:15 a.m. on March 24, 2020. The Grand prize winner will be selected at random from contestants who have qualified on-air and meet all eligibility requirements. The Grand Prize winner will be posted online at classichits1017.com and majic951.com, and a WLDE/WAJI representative will attempt to contact the winner by telephone that day. If a winner cannot be reached within 5 business days, an alternate winner will be selected.
Conditions:
Decisions of WLDE/WAJI management with respect to the contest are final.
Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winnings must be reported to the IRS on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.
By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agrees to allow their names, voices, likeness, pictures of the finished home improvement project and/or pictures of their house to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation.
Contest winners are required to sign a Receipt verifying eligibility prior to acceptance of the grand prize, and a liability release as applicable.
Pursuant to the Liability Release, the winner agrees to hold Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims of liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
WLDE/WAJI, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WLDE or WAJI Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
These rules are subject to the interpretation of WLDE/WAJI. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WLDE/WAJI management, and such changes will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.
All decisions of WLDE/WAJI management in the administration of the contest are final.
This contest is void where prohibited.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WLDE/WAJI.
WLDE/WAJI are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcements of any prize.
WLDE/WAJI are not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.
As a consequence of delays in the online streaming of the WLDE and WAJI signals compared to over-the-air broadcasts, online listeners may be at a disadvantage in attempting to participate in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the station on-air. WLDE and WAJI are not responsible for online streaming delays.
WLDE and WAJI reserve the right to change the contest rules at any time.
